West Indies 2004

Beach CricketThe inaugural Tuffers on Tour took place in March and April 2004, as we took a group of England fans out to see the back-to-back Test matches between the West Indies and England in Barbados and Antigua.

The tour highlights included some incredible nights out with Tuffers at the St Lawrence Gap and Harbour Lights in Barbados, an unforgettable game of cricket, again starring Phil (as a batsman!) at our hotel, and seeing Richie Richardson and Courtney Walsh perform with their band in Antigua.

Tuffers DancingOn the cricket field, this was the tour which saw England win in the West Indies for the first time in 36 years. Highlights included Matthew Hoggard’s Hat-trick and Graham Thorpe’s fighting hundred in Barbados, and Brian Lara’s world record 400 not out in Antigua.

This is what people had to say on their return…

What do I say about the trip? You guys were great – what a trip! Everything was better than expected. Getting to spend so much time with Phil was unexpected and thoroughly enjoyable. A fantastic time.

Harbour LightsI just wanted to let you know that we had a brilliant time in Barbados. The whole thing was organised really well and to top it all off we won the cricket! A big thank you for a really memorable holiday.
Sam Ruffles, Bicester, Oxfordshire

The trip was fantastic, better than I had hoped for. Great Test matches, great company and good nights out. One of the best holidays I have ever had! More of the same please!

We were surprised by the amount of time we saw Phil with the tour party and I'm sure I can speak for everyone who was in my party by saying we all had a great time & for many the best holiday they've ever been on.
