India 2006

Taj MahalIn March 2006 Paragon flew off with supporters in tow to cheer on England in India. Known as a very hard place to play cricket, but an incredible country away from the pitch, India provided the sternest of tests for England and some unforgettable experiences for the supporters.

Our guests had the choice of a 2-Test combination or a single-Test tour, combining the cricket with India's famous Cultural Triangle, boasting such sights as the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Jaipur Palace. A few of the group took our beach extension option in Goa and enjoyed three days of relaxation after the chaos of Mumbai.

The cricket was a mixed bag, with England disappointing in Mohali and then magnificent in Mumbai. When Monty Panesar finally clung on to dismiss Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Tuffers led the Paragon celebrations, and a couple of wickets later was on hand to buy some beers to toast a rare victory in India.

SachinHere's what our guests had to say on their return:

Thank you very much for everything you did to make the whole trip so memorable. We thought it was a most magnificent adventure and we enjoyed every minute of it. I was extremely impressed with Phil Tufnell who came across as a particularly caring individual and excellent host. I shall be delighted to be put on your mailing list for future trips.

Thank you for organising and hosting such a fantactic experience in India. I can't imagine that anyone could have done more to please and satisfy our diverse group and the memories will last forever. And the last few days in Goa were the icing on the cake. Phil was great company and easy to get on with. Please pass on my best wishes and regards to him.

It really was a fantastically enjoyable and memorable holiday. The Golden Triangle tour was excellent and the memories of the Taj Mahal and Amber Fort will stay with me for a long time. I was also impressed by Phil Tufnell's presence. Phil was brilliantly accessible and good value on cricket - and other subjects! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Paragon Sports [Travel] to others.
